I stayed at the hotel with my son for 3 days. We spent New Year's Eve in Amsterdam, and even had dinner at the hotel that day. The food was a little disappointing considering it was New Year's. The rooms are cozy, a bit small, but beautiful with very tasteful decor. The service is excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. Great bathroom, hot water, and a breakfast with a lot of variety. The whole hotel is very well decorated with several different areas for reading, sitting... the gym could be a little bigger, with more equipment. But it was enough for the basics. The location is very good; you're practically a 20-minute walk from all the important points in the city. I highly recommend it.

The value for money is really poor compared to other 5-star superior hotels (and I know quite a few). Perhaps it's just Amsterdam; you get so little for so much money. The breakfast is truly disappointing, not even a decent selection of fresh food or healthy yogurts.
