We chose the Pullman Pattaya for New Year's Eve because we'd long heard about its supposedly high level of service and 5-star status. We flew in from Kazakhstan with our seven-year-old daughter and stayed at the hotel for seven nights. The room rate was quite high, and we paid separately for the New Year's Eve dinner—$242 for me and my child. Unfortunately, the reality was far from our expectations. I'll start with the room cleaning—it was disgusting. The room and public areas were constantly covered in hair and dirt. We repeatedly contacted reception, asking for a second cleaning—sometimes they did it twice, but the quality didn't improve. The staff simply didn't understand what needed to be fixed. Ultimately, we resigned ourselves to the situation and tried to spend as little time at the hotel as possible to avoid ruining our vacation. This is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. The food was a "4-star," nothing more. Nothing special, and didn't live up to the hotel's stated class. There are plenty of sun loungers by the pool, but you need to reserve them early in the morning, as after 11 a.m. you won't find a single one available. There were no sun loungers on the beach; they only cost 100 baht, even for hotel guests. There were also sun loungers available for a fee of 2,000 baht, which included drinks and food. I'd especially like to mention New Year's Eve. It was a complete disappointment. We weren't given the option to choose or reserve a seat in advance. All Russian-speaking guests were seated in a closed dining room with a completely silent design and a questionable musical program in the style of "White Roses." Meanwhile, the area outside was mostly occupied by foreigners, who enjoyed a more pleasant atmosphere. We approached reception and asked to move outside, but they simply refused and politely directed us back to the dining room. Many guests were upset and dissatisfied, as they could have paid for dinner separately and chosen a comfortable seat, but we were not given that option. We were able to freely access the beach where the main party was, so thankfully. However, food and drinks were strictly limited to the cafeteria. Overall, the hotel is completely unresponsive to guest requests, and the service is formal and indifferent. This hotel doesn't meet 5-star standards, and I can't recommend it to anyone. If you value comfort and service,... I've come to the conclusion that I will never choose this hotel or the Pullman chain again.

Fantastic hotel in an unbeatable Sukhumvit 4 location—just steps away from shops, restaurants, and the BTS/MRT, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city. The only drawback is that the street can be quite lively at night, which may not suit everyone. Breakfast was decent, though nothing exceptional. A huge thank‑you to Mindy and the housekeeping team for their warm welcome and consistently excellent service. Their hospitality truly made the stay memorable. Still waiting for my deposit refund 🙏🙏🙏

Pros: Great location and beach, and friendly staff, that's about it. Cons: 1) Old, shabby renovations 2) Poor breakfasts that never change 3) The beach access is terrible; you have to jump down; they apparently forgot about the stairs. 4) There are a lot of Russians, and they take up the sunbeds from early morning. 5) The sunbed area smells of sewage; it was sometimes impossible to stay there; that was the worst part. I don't recommend it.
