Quality Inn & Conference Centre

Unfortunately, our three-night stay was quite disappointing, especially as we were traveling from out of province. From the beginning, the room was not very clean and had visible damage. Inside the room coffee maker looked like it had mold in it. Stains on the blankets were unsettling. We were also charged $10 per night for what was described as a “rollaway cot,” which turned out to be a basic camping cot. It was dropped off with a few blankets, and we were expected to set it up ourselves—we didn't have a problem with this, it was just that it is advertised as a roll away cot which as you know actually has a mattress on it, this did not have any padding whatsoever. Very difficult for some to sleep on especially for more than a couple of nights. The hot breakfast that was included with our stay was really quite sad. The bread and bagels were placed in a way that guests had to open the bags and reach in with their hands to get what they wanted, cream cheese was left on the counter although it says right on the packages to keep refrigerated. Small cartons of orange and apple juice were provided however not monitored so guests had to keep asking front desk staff when they ran out, which they did often considering the number of guests. We were also asked to not use the toaster while the hotel staff was making coffee as it would blow a fuse. Toaster was a very dated four slice appliance that took forever and again with the amount of guests, your warm food (that was just a pre made egg and sausages) was cold by the time you got your toast or bagel ready. On the final morning of our stay, there had been a bit of a storm the previous night so the cooks didn't make it in, so no hot food. The desk staff said all they had was cold stuff, that being said we had to continually ask for milk for cereal, juice, bread, bagels etc. The staff seemed very irritated about having to provide anything at all. No compensation or adjustment was offered. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the attached arcade/bumper cars/bowling area for our kids. Unfortunately, the only evening we were able to visit, we were abruptly asked to leave due to an emergency in the kitchen. While emergency services did attend and everything appeared to be resolved, the facility remained closed for the rest of that day which was the only day that it was open during our stay. There was a sign stating that tokens are non-refundable, which would be understandable if guests chose to leave on their own. However, we were asked to leave due to an emergency that was completely out of our control. Despite this, no refund or accommodation was offered for the tokens we had already purchased. We were told we could return on Tuesday to use them, but the facility was closed Sunday and Monday, and we were checking out and leaving the hotel Monday morning, making that option impossible. All of this and honestly, it may not have been so bad if the staff actually seemed like they enjoyed any part of their job. Mostly just a couple of female staff who were quite unpleasant and the one that asked us to leave the arcade was just plain rude. All very disappointing considering we've stayed in other Quality Inn hotels and never had such a poor experience. It's a shame that standards aren't the same across the locations.

Breakfast is part of the services and it was slow cold missing all in all they didn't care just put garbage out and make us takeout or leave it... the weekend staff was great helpful and apologetic they had no control over anything and very little to No training which made it hard on them as well.

This last stay was awful. The bed was not comfortable at all and was broken when we got in the room. Sliding door was also really hard to shut. Parking lot needed to be salted, very slippery.
