I never write reviews but feel this is not a safe place and the more I look back on it the more I feel other families need to know. We got there after our check in time and upon check in, we went up the steps and through the hallway to our room. It was after the check in time yet as we walked down the hallway, trash, towels, and even a lamp… pretty much anything that needed cleaned out of the rooms had just been thrown into the hall by the workers…I’m assuming to pick up. We had two small children with us and were stepping over beer bottles and dirty towels. When we went into the room, the room was very old looking and everything just looked dirty. The bathroom…the entire back of the toilet where the commode sits flat was covered in what looked like cigarette burns and the walls had the paint picked off in a ton of spots like someone intentionally sat and just kept picking at the wall. Clearly it was used as a room to do drugs in. We were staying two nights. We were literally only there to sleep and I did look but we had trouble finding a place so last minute that wouldn’t cost us almost $1,000 for the two nights. We decided to suck it up. I never let the kids shower there, they did so at the bath houses on Presque Isle. The first night was pretty uneventful but definitely uncomfortable. I was mad that there was NO security features and literally anyone could walk into the hotel. In fact, there were a bunch of groups standing around drinking in the parking lot. The one door was literally just propped open in the back. The second night was awful. There was a group beside us that were loud and clearly drinking while possibly involved in drugs as well. Thankfully my kids were asleep before they showed up around 11 and started partying. They were slamming doors around us, very aggressive with each other, cursing and talking about a lot of sexual things. My kids sleeping through it and fear of retaliation made it so I didn’t notify the front desk. Let’s be honest, they already knew and had no intention to stop them. Thankfully around 2:30 it settled. We did go to their restaurant both mornings and the first day was good. The second morning the waitresses and kitchen staff were literally yelling at each other. This is truly not a safe hotel. We will never be back.
