Quality Inn Asheville Downtown Tunnel Rd

Our stay (Dec 13–14, 2025) was unacceptable from start to finish. We booked two rooms for four adults and an infant, paying around $250, and the conditions were neither safe nor clean. At approximately 11:30 PM, a false fire alarm was pulled, waking our sleeping baby. There was no fire, no explanation, and no follow-up from staff. Later that night, between 1:00–2:00 AM, marijuana was smoked directly outside our room, and the smell entered and lingered inside. This created an unsafe and inappropriate environment—especially for a family traveling with a baby. The cleanliness of the second room was appalling. The toilet had visible urine stains and hair in and on the seat, the bathtub had hair in the drain and around the shower curtain, and one of the queen beds had a yellow stain on the sheets, raising serious concerns about whether the bedding had been changed at all. I attempted multiple times to reach the hotel manager after being told they would be on duty, but no one ever returned my calls. When we escalated the issue through Booking.com, the hotel acknowledged the problems but offered only $50 in compensation, which felt dismissive given the severity of the issues and the amount we paid. Between the safety concerns, lack of cleanliness, sleep disruption, and poor management response, this was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. I would strongly discourage families, especially those with children, from staying here.

It’s honestly fire! Best part is the morning breakfest! My booking was like $80 bucks for the night, absolutely worth it.

I walked all the way up there after booking online. The woman at the desk kept coming up with excuses why they couldn't rent from me. There was a Jamaican lady who got extremely rude. Kept glaring at me demanding I leave right away acting like I was going to kill her. All I asked was why the attitude, and I only needed a bed for 2 nights.
