Quality Inn Durand I-69

Really enjoyed this hotel, price was great, disappointed about the pool, being out of order. The price was good for a clean room.

1st stay we were in the middle 1st floor. We do have a service dog so we did do some cleaning plus mopped. 2nd stay we were on 2nd floor in the middle of the hotel as well, this room was much run down and dingy. We did have to do some cleaning when we checked in and the furniture was broken down, the shower pressure was horrible, the bath tub had a hole in it. This room was very run down. We did clean and mop again only because we do have a service dog. Our 3rd stay was the worst, the room was very run down, furniture broke down, sink broken with chips in and around the sink, the water pressure was horrible, water having issues with the hot, TV and remote control only working part of the time. When we were there this time we had no electricity in our room all day until about 9:30pm that night and we didn't receive any discounts or accommodations for this problem. When asking the front desk what they had planned she had no idea, said all electric will be shut off and hopefully for only a couple hours. Staff didn't really care about the guests with the electric problem and some losing there food and how this all effected the guests. They were concerned about themselves and how they will be treated because of the electric being shut off all day and into night. Did speak with night front desk due to becoming sick while there. Asked if we could leave a bit later, she was wonderful and said yes until noon. During the night I became very ill with stomach bug as well as other illness. We did clean again but due to my illness we chose to clean and mop really well due to my illness and obvious smell from my illness. So I absolutely know the house keeper hardly had to clean our room because while cleaning we we took trash out, wiped down, swept and mopped very well. We went to book again and was told due to dog pee smell we were banned. Our service dog has been with us every time and this time they said they smell urine. The dog was never left there alone and has not had an accident indoors and we have had no problems in the past times with any smell/oder urine smell at all and this time they said they smell it. This makes no since especially we have used this hotel several times and never had an issue until now. This situation makes no sense. What was the craziest part is the manager stood there said nothing and the new girl is stating this nonsense especially when we cleaned the room very well due to my illness.

I do not recommend staying here. We stayed 1 night just last week and never will again. They advertise a pool which apparently has been closed since covid. There is no pool here available. They offer little to nothing for breakfast, old cereal and hard bread some yogurts. thankful for a few fast food chains nearby, they have permanent residents there that are extremely loud and disrespectful. The remotes do not work for the tvs even after trying 3 different ones from the front desk. The bathroom ceiling was nothing but mold to the point that the paint was falling off. (I took photos of this) it seemed clean'ish but there was still an envelope on the desk in the room with the last persons name and notes on it. The girl up at the reception was very nice and helpful considering. Do not walk around the room without shoes, our socks were black after just one night. I don't know about the bugs it was winter when we stayed here but my 15 year old son did slip in the parking lot after we checked out at about 10 am it was nothing but ice. He had his duffel bag on his back so it cushioned his fall thankfully for that and his pillow he didn't get hurt. Honestly it needs a major rehaul and should be shut down until then or drastically decrease the price to like 30 a night.. maybe at least change the name its false advertising at this point. Overall. We'll happily go WELL out of our way and pay more for better accommodations next time.
