We booked this hotel in advance specifically because it was listed as pet-friendly. Upon arrival, we were told that there were no pet-friendly rooms available and that we could not stay with our dog. As a result, we had to leave and urgently book another hotel. Very disappointing experience and misleading information.

What should have been an easy hotel stay turned into a frustrating mess entirely because of this place’s poor communication and unprofessional behavior. We called ahead more than once to ask questions before booking and were met with rude, dismissive responses. There was no attempt at being helpful — just irritation for daring to ask for basic information. We were told the pool was open from 7–10 PM, conveniently leaving out the fact that it’s outside. In 20-degree weather. That’s not useful information, and it feels intentionally misleading. After confirming the reservation, things somehow got worse. Despite calling beforehand and asking specific questions — including whether ID details could be handled over the phone — they waited until after the booking to suddenly enforce a “no locals” policy tied to the address on the ID. This was never mentioned during any of our calls. Instead of fixing their mistake, the staff refused to process a refund and pushed the responsibility onto Expedia, telling us to wait 7–10 days. As a result of their disorganization and lack of accountability, we were left without a place to stay in freezing temperatures and had to sleep in our cars. This hotel is poorly run, staffed by people who don’t communicate clearly, and unwilling to take responsibility when they’re at fault. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else.

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience with this Quality Inn. My friends and I booked a room at this location for New Year’s Eve through Expedia after the hotel’s website was down. We called the hotel multiple times before arrival to confirm the reservation and ask general check-in questions. At no point during these calls, nor anywhere on the Expedia listing, were we informed that this hotel does not allow local residents to stay. Our reservation was approved and paid for in full. It wasn’t until we were only minutes away, when we called to ask what documentation would be needed to check in, that we were suddenly told over the phone that locals are not allowed. Because we were explicitly told we would not be allowed to stay, we never arrived and never checked in. Despite the hotel accepting payment, the front desk staff refused to issue a refund. The staff member we spoke with was rude, dismissive, and offered no explanation—essentially telling us there was nothing they could do. Due to the extremely late notice on New Year’s Eve, we were left without lodging and ultimately had to sleep in a car in the middle of winter. I understand hotels may have internal policies, but those policies must be clearly disclosed before accepting a reservation and payment. Denying a stay after payment with no prior notice and refusing a refund is unacceptable and unprofessional. I strongly caution others to confirm all policies in writing before booking here, especially if you are local. This experience fell far below the standards expected from a Quality Inn.
