Quality Inn Kingsport

We are in the area because my husband has surgery in the morning at the local hospital. When we arrived, we were greeted kindly and I paid, and was given our room card. We walked in, set our bag on the table, and on our way out to eat, we noticed hair in the tub. We were very hungry, so I said I would let the front desk know when I returned. Upon returning, I let her know and we came to our room. She said she would clean it up, but I said it was ok- we probably wouldn’t be showering tonight anyways but just wanted to make her aware. We came into our room and turned the lights on, and that is when I saw how absolutely disgusting it was. I will attach some of the photos to this post. I ended up going back up to the front, and asked for a different room. She let me look at two other rooms, 108 and I’m unsure of the other room number- both of which were equally or more dirty than the one we are currently in. Frustrated, knowing I paid for comfort & “get your moneys worth”, I said to give me a few rags and cleaning supplies and I’d do it myself. So she obliged and said she would give me $10 off the room. I get back to my room and realize the nastiness.. I went to put our left overs in the fridge and… please see photos. After scrubbing the refrigerator for 15 minutes, I finally got it clean. Then I noticed the mess on the microwave (I didn’t get a photo of that) so I cleaned that as well. I also scrubbed the shower clean and got rid of the towels that were covered in human hair. The countertop where the “bathroom” sink is, again, I will attach photos. Please note the “spit” on the wall behind the faucet, which was left by the previous people who stayed in this room. There was also hair and residue on the toilet seat that I did not get a photo of. I am astonished at the lack of cleaning detail of this facility, & I suppose that is my fault for not digging deeper into reviews. I would hope that Quality will take my concerns into consideration, as anyone traveling does not want to clean a room before even getting to sit down. The standards at this location are poor, and I would recommend training housekeeping staff on how to properly clean, along with attention to detail and care. 4:23 AM update: She came to our room around 9PM and showed me the new room rate of $65 instead of the $85. So it seems as though we are receiving a $20 discount. We have been up all night due to consistent noise, people outside of our window, and hearing employees complain of their duties outside of our room. The bed is extremely hard, and difficult to sleep in. We have not slept and have debated going to sleep in our vehicle. We will not return to this facility, and will not recommend it to anyone.

Was supposed to travel here as I do like damn near once every two months. I travel from Ohio. However, when I haunt snow storm hot in Ohio and all across everywhere I was obviously not able to travel…. 17 inches of snow. There was multiple travel bans…. It took me DAYS to get ahold of someone at the hotel. And they did not do anything for me at all. I now have two emails to the “owner.” I am a frequent here. And I am very disappointed. Literally out 180$ because there was a travel ban…..

Was not willing to try working with us when there was a severe snow storm and ppl weren't allowed to travel and wouldn't refund or change our dates. Very disappointed
