Quentin Boutique Hotel

I don't even know where to begin. The parking lot is so cramped, yet so overpriced. The staff gives the impression that their only job is to just smile blankly when there are complaints. I was given a room "upgrade" (I don't even want to know how much worse it can get) to the 6th floor, and to top it all off, the elevator broke down and my key card stopped working. A lot of things in the room just look worn out, the bathroom is covered in limescale, or rather, deposits. On top of that, the room is incredibly noisy; the ventilation sounds broken, and the windows don't seem to be airtight. In short, anyone who comes here has only themselves to blame.

Dear Sir or Madam, On the night of Saturday, January 31st to Sunday, February 1st, I had booked a double room at the Boutique Hotel Quentin in Charlottenburg. I had booked several double rooms in Berlin Charlottenburg that day, as I was organizing an event. Each guest had their own room. And this is where our first problem with a certain Mr. Mohammed at reception began. I can easily imagine that this name was invented by him, as he spoke extremely disrespectfully during our conversation. I had initially sent a lady to the hotel who had a dog with her. Mr. Mohammed informed her that it was not possible to stay overnight with a dog at his hotel. Thereupon, I sent this lady to another hotel nearby and assigned another lady (Cagla) to the room at the Quentin Boutique. Mr. Mohammed then contacted me by phone to inform me that I should not even think about "sneaking in" the lady with the dog. I initially thought it was a joke, but he was serious. With all due respect, we're not friends from the schoolyard, and Mr. Mohammed has no right to call me and give me instructions, especially not without reason. Furthermore, he refused to let the woman, who was supposed to stay at the hotel, in because of a €3.60 city tax, which she could only pay in cash. His argument was, quite literally, "that's not his problem." After a long and disrespectful discussion, it finally worked out. Later, after the event, around midnight, I, the hotel guest (Cagla), briefly went to the hotel so the other guest could change or freshen up. There were four of us, and we spent a total of 20 minutes in the room. Immediately before we could even reach the room, a hotel employee followed us and threatened to throw us out. Again, behavior reminiscent of a schoolyard incident. I'd like to emphasize once more that we are all over 30 years old. We left the hotel, and Ms. Cagla returned alone around 6:00 a.m., having already extended her stay for another night. At reception, Mr. Mohammed started an argument, claiming that the payment for the extension hadn't been credited to their account. He refused her access to her room. Unfortunately, she didn't have a room key with her, and he refused to issue a new one. Even though she showed him proof of payment, he still wouldn't acknowledge it. Because of this, and his erratic behavior, Ms. Cagla called the police. Suddenly, the money had indeed been credited to their account. Once he realized this, he asked Ms. Cagla to leave the hotel. He could have asked her to leave earlier (even though there was no reason to), but he only did so after seeing the payment for the additional night. All in all, he gave the impression of having a personal problem with the guest. He was condescending, unprofessional (especially towards women), and sought every opportunity to humiliate or expel her from the hotel. And he ultimately did this without giving any reason. He claimed, in the presence of the police, that the hotel guest had too many guests in the room, which wasn't the case. We were there for 20 minutes around midnight, and even then we had to justify ourselves to him. You are welcome to check the security camera footage to see who was there and for how long. Naturally, I will never again accommodate any guest in this hotel, if only out of concern for such an intrusive man who doesn't respect the privacy or the rights of female guests.
