Excellent! The location is a real plus, allowing you to be very centrally located in the city. The room is very spacious and clean. Given its size, it can get a little chilly, so you might want to turn the air conditioning up a bit. But that depends on the season. The staff is absolutely lovely, and the access system is very secure, which is fantastic.

A good city hotel in a prime location. Our room had a kitchen, washing machine, and was sufficiently large.

This woman kicked their gold member with a little sleepy kid out of the room at a rainy night, saying not a sufficient space for kid in term of fire safety! I am an Ascott Gold member and have stayed at multiple properties, including Citadines South Kensington, where booking a studio and my child was accepted without any issue. However, at Citadines City Centre Liverpool, the receptionist abruptly cancelled our check-in, claiming the room was “not sufficient” for a child due to “fire safety regulations” and insisted we leave. If this is genuinely a fire safety rule, it should be transparently stated and uniformly applied across all locations. Selective enforcement raises questions about staff training, internal management standards, and potential discriminatory treatment toward families with children. Cancelling a confirmed booking at the front desk, leaving a parent and a young child without accommodation, demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism and duty of care. Gold membership clearly carries no value here. Loyalty is meaningless if guests are treated as liabilities instead of customers. This experience reflects extremely poor management standards and a concerning lack of accountability.
