Quest Mascot Serviced Apartments

We stayed in just the small studio with the kitchenette. Overall, it's good value for money. We enjoyed our stay, and it was convenient to have the kitchenette, and really loved that the washer and dryer were free to use. The staff were all very friendly. It was comfy, clean, and the air conditioning worked great. You could defnitely hear the noise from the airport, but it didn't really bother me. It never woke me up and didn't keep me awake. Especially with the AC running, it helped dull the noise. However, I only give the hotel 4 stars for a few reasons. First, on the location, it wasn't a bad location, but it's definitely a far enough walk from the Mascot train station that we took the bus to get to the train station. The train station is also where all the Mascot restaurants and shopping are, and again, just far enough of a walk that you can't just pop over there, you need to plan to take the bus, or just know it's going to be a decent walk. The room itself: a few issues. The bathroom doorway is not zero threshold. It's just high enough that if you don't pick up your feet quite high, you stub the ball of your foot on it. I did it multiple times, and it was so painful. I blame myself for repeatedly doing it, I should have learned my lesson the first time. But the tiles in the bathroom are the same as in the kitchen, so it blends in and you don't really see the lip unless you're focusing on it. The shower was also designed by someone who doesn't understand that the floor of the bathroom should not be wet. There were massive gaps between the each section of the shower glass wall, so a lot of water got on the floor outside the shower, and was a slip hazard. There's also no where to put your toiletries, no shelf or anything. You can see in the photo I had to get creative, but it got in the way of me using the toiletries in the shower. The shower head is also in bad need of replacement, and it's quite low on the wall as well, which is not very good for tall people. My husband is 6' 2" and he had to squat to get under the shower head. Lastly, the hair dryer in the room is probably the oldest hair dryer I have seen in a hotel. It barely blew air and took me ages to dry my hair. I feel like the shower head, adding a shelf in the shower, and the hair dryer are are small costs that the hotel could do to make the stay just a little bit nicer. Of course I forgot to take many photos of the things before we left! But I did take a couple.

Close to airport. Great if you like to watch planes....we thought it would be noisy, but it was fine . We had a good sleep.

I checked in late on the evening of February 4th, and the person who helped me check in was the kindest and loveliest person I've ever met in my life.
