RADISSON BLU ESPOO

By the sea, with a reasonably good location and free parking, it is easy to get there by car. The building is quite unassuming from the outside. The lobby and restaurant were pleasant - except for the sea view (i.e. the parking lot) that opens from the windows. There is also a gym and sauna facilities by the swimming pool, which I unfortunately did not have time to try. The customer service at the reception and restaurant was really cheerful and friendly! The superior room was quite a disappointment, though. Two beds instead of a larger bed, even though I was traveling alone. The bathroom had a disabled toilet, no bathtub, just a cramped shower. The grout on the tiled floor was missing, and there was lime/light dirt accumulated in these areas (see photo), which had not been washed. It came off easily when I tried with a hand towel. The window had a view of the stairwell where people were walking (see photo). Absolutely shocking, the curtains remained tightly closed throughout the entire stay. In addition to the reading lights, the room has main lighting and dimmer lighting. Only the dimmer light cannot be turned on by itself, so you are either in very bright light or relying on a reading lamp. You can't even keep the curtain open unless you want every passerby to see directly into my bed. There wasn't even a light switch next to the bed, so you have to walk to the door to turn the lights on or off. There are no sockets next to the beds for charging your phone, you have to leave it on the opposite wall. The soundproofing to the corridor was terrible, I could hear normal conversation well even though I was watching TV. The minibar was so empty that the water bottles waiting inside weren't much cooler than the room temperature. It's not a good idea to bring perishable snacks with you. The television was of good quality and all its functions worked, which is not a given in Radissons in Helsinki. Still, the TV was installed in the corner, while the beds were positioned in such a way that you couldn't watch TV from the bed without neck pain. A completely incomprehensible solution. So this was a superior room! What kind of standard would it have been..? Despite the cheerful customer service, there were so many things wrong with the room and it didn't meet Radisson standards at all, that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

My partner and I arrived on Saturday evening and were immediately greeted by the receptionist Anni! Thank you very much for the sunny, cheerful and professional service, we really appreciated it😍 Immediately after arrival we were able to enjoy a meal at Bistro Ranta and received great service from the customer service representative Roberto! Many thanks to him too, we left feeling really good all in all🫶🏻 We were also pleasantly surprised that the hotel makes its own honey! That was also a lifesaver, because my partner was sick and needed honey for his sore throat. Props also for being self-sufficient in terms of honey!😄👍🏻 As for the food at the Bistro, it was really delicious and mouthwatering - we enjoyed it very much, so thanks also to chef Saida!😍 We were also welcomed very warmly at breakfast, but unfortunately I didn't see the names of these customer service staff😕 It was a delicious breakfast by the way and the bacon was crispy - just the way I like it!❤️

the mattress could be better, it was too soft and also with a very hihg heat retention so i felt too warm.
