Genuine room service conversation: “Hi there, do you have any snacks available?” “Yes sir, if you scan the QR code you’ll see that we have food and beverage options available there” “Yes I had a look at that but I couldn’t see any snacks available. You know, nuts or crisps and so on, to go with a drink” “Oh I see sir. No we do not have those. May I suggest that you walk to the convenience store - it’s just two minutes away.” “I see. I’d thought Paradox was a luxury brand and that you would have these available?” “Oh no sir. Sorry sir” “Ok thanks, bye.” Don’t see how this brand thrives other than the fact that they own the real estate. It’s likely that Paradox (a Malaysian real estate company) is simply seeking to capture more of the revenue stream by booting out Radisson and self-operating, and sweating the asset. This is not the next Mandarin or Shangri as a brand. Would avoid next time, and avoid the Paradox brand across their small portfolio (believe they operate ten or so hotels across Asia Pacific).

Wonderful hotel in every aspect. Rooms were exceptional. Service from check in to check out was excellent. Great ambience and location. We had drinks and dined in the Fax bar in the lobby. Great cocktails and food. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have stayed here multiple times over the last 10 years. Our most recent stay was the first time since the name change from Radisson Blue to Paradox. The service and value for money was still as good as always. The hotel is very well positioned, just a few minutes walk from either Wynyard or Martin Place stations. And very easy walking from here to the main attractions in Sydney City. The buffet breakfast is also very good if you include it in your stay.
