Regularly visit for food and drinks but on this occasion I felt let down. I was pleased to find an updated menu thinking the offering may have been elevated but after ordering a rather expensive Nasi Goreng I found it to be the opposite. The addition of what appeared to be a fried egg that was salvaged from the breakfast buffet was not the satisfying topper that usually accompanies that dish. A little more care and research into the dish would go a long way.

We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the rooms, gym, and pool. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. We had a satisfying dinner at the hotel restaurant on our first evening. However, on the evening of December 31st, we ordered the special set menu (main course and dessert) for £30, and it was a disaster: a very unpleasant waiter took our order while looking at his watch. The £15 Moritos (with alcohol for adults and non-alcoholic for children) were mixed together and undrinkable because they were too sweet; we returned them and exchanged them for a beer. We waited an hour for our meals, and the fish—80 grams of defrosted fish—tasted bad, and half a potato was undercooked. The Pavlova dessert was a meringue that was barely edible except with a knife, with fruit that tasted of alcohol... a huge disappointment. The very friendly waitress gave us a discount to compensate for the inconvenience.

I enjoy having a drink in the lounge area. Spacious area, good service. The only thing I would say is the bill needs checking because a couple of times extra items have been added and I noticed this happened to a table next to us . Over all a good pleasant atmosphere.
