Radisson Hotel Pinheiros – São Paulo We arrived in São Paulo after an overnight flight, absolutely exhausted and hoping for a smooth check-in. The receptionists were very pleasant, but the check-in process took around 30 minutes. We were grateful to be given a room right away, even though it was a handicapped-accessible room, which we agreed to without issue. Unfortunately, things quickly took a turn. After resting from our flight, we went to shower and discovered that the bathroom floor flooded completely—water covered the entire area. I slipped and fell on the soaked floor, hurting my leg, and both legs ended up bruised. We had to use every towel just to make the bathroom usable and safe enough to walk through. We notified reception, asking for maintenance to take a look and for housekeeping to replace the towels we had used to control the flooding. While every staff member we interacted with was exceptionally kind, no one ever came to check on me after the fall, which was deeply disappointing. Even worse, despite multiple requests, maintenance never came during our three-day stay. We continued to deal with a flooded bathroom and had to use all our towels every day just to function. Now, after leaving the hotel, I’m returning to the United States needing a doctor’s appointment because of the injuries from the fall. The staff were friendly, but the lack of follow-through, safety concern, and absence of basic duty of care overshadowed everything. Sadly, this experience has left me unable to recommend this hotel.
