Honestly they should just knock this place down and start again. It's literally falling apart. Totally dilapidated, mouldy, and rotten. Don't know how on earth it passes any building or health inspections. Avoid like the plague! Stayed there a few weeks ago and it is disgusting.

First time staying at this hotel and I was fortunate to get a room which has been modernised, hence the decent 4 star rating. Having sighted the rooms which hadn't been modernised, if I had stayed in any of these the rating would of been 2 star. I can only support previous comments about the service being great, especially the manager sarah. Very welcoming and always smiling. Unfortunately, Sarah departs next week for another job which will be a shame for any future guest. The pool was out of bounds whilst building work is being carried out, which was all shame as would of been nice to relax next to a pool. Would only stay here again if it was a modernised room.

The area the hotel is in is lovely. As for the hotel itself, the room is dated, but big. Biggest turn off for me is that in my 5 nights, I saw a total 6 cockroaches in the room, so you already know the place must be filthy. I raised this to the reception who said they'd get the room sprayed, still saw some in the next morning. On my last morning, went to go use the bathroom and one dropped from the ceiling, just narrowly missing me. Half decent gym available, if you're interested in keeping fit on your travels. Nothing overly spectacular, but decent if you want a quick session. Although the door to access the gym is faulty, so you need to be let in by one of the staff any time you want to go. Only ate at the restaurant twice, both times were for breakfast. I'd personally advise eating out though. The food isn't the best, and for a few dollars more you can get better breakfast elsewhere, like at the Latte on the Lake, for example. I was only staying here on a work business trip, so while I suppose I shouldn't complain too much in that light, I would say for anyone looking at somewhere as a place to stay on a well-deserved holiday, I'd definitely recommend spending just that little bit more to stay somewhere better in the area.
