Overall terrible experience, charging $160/night when in reality it should be $79-99/night max PLUS a 4% out of town tariff is ridiculous. This is a motel at best. There for a hockey tournament, (there was also a ringett tournament going on so lots of teams in the hotel). Booked the conference room so the kids wouldnt bother other guests if they wanted to play mini sticks but got kicked out from staff even through the noise wasnt excessive (it was adults only using it at the time) ok the first night. I asked for extra coffee pods for our room as they only came with 2 & we didn't require housekeeping & were denied by the concierge, I asked for milk for the 2 coffees, was provided expired milk & was told they don't have any more milk. Rooms were clean. Beds were thin & we could feel the slats underneath, so barely slept. No extra blankets provided. Pillows were decent. Pool & hot tub were good. We had 3 complains for our kids being loud in hallways but we don't know forsure if it was our team or ringette teams. Staff locked the stairs to the 2nd floor, unsure why as elevators were always busy (makes sense lots of traffic!) I would not recommend to anyone. Staff should have notifed guests of the tariffs, & the at least 2 tournaments going on during this weekend & gave them the choice to book or not. Poor communication & overall disappointed with customer service.

Huge shout-out to Paige at the Ramada Ponoka. She was super friendly and really accommodating to our ringette team the whole time we were there. She even let us parents take over the breakfast area as a hockey team had the conference room for the weekend. We appreciated having a space to unwind and have some laughs. Breakfast was decent with enough options to keep everyone happy. The rooms are a bit dated and the beds/pillows are pretty mediocre, but still totally fine for teams. The pool was good too and the kids loved it. Overall, a solid spot for team stays, and Paige definitely made the experience better!

I have had the best experience here at this hotel. I stay here once a month for few days each time. These ladies are so accommodating, helpful and super friendly!! I get treated like royalty. I think this place is amazing. The hotel maybe older but I feel maintained!! Highly recommend!!
