I recently visited the poolside restaurant at the Ramada by Wyndham and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The quality of the food was extremely poor and did not meet the standard one would expect from an international hotel brand. In fact, guests would likely find better value and significantly better quality by walking across the road to the Amazonia Mall, where there are more affordable and higher-quality food options. Even more concerning was the level of service. The manager on duty and the server were both rude and unprofessional, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Such service standards are surprising and unacceptable for a hotel that caters to international guests. Overall, based on my experience, I would not recommend dining at this restaurant. The food quality and service do not reflect the level of hospitality expected from a hotel of this reputation.

Stayed at the Ramada Princess Hotel in Georgetown and overall had a mixed experience. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a decent view. There was a small fridge, two bottles of water, and a mini-bar with four items, which was nice. However, the breakfast was honestly terrible—very limited options, dry bread, and pancakes that were literally inedible. The coffee and juice were also pretty meh. I didn’t try the cereal, but nothing else really made up for it. The hotel restaurant opens at 5PM, but most of the menu wasn’t available—no sushi, no fish dishes, no pasta—which was disappointing, especially for the price. Speaking of which, I paid $250 USD per night due to the foreigner tax, and I really don’t think it was worth that amount. On the bright side, the front desk staff was very helpful and kind, but the restaurant staff was the opposite—unmotivated and not very friendly. Overall, the room was fine, but the food and service on the dining side were a letdown. Wouldn’t go back unless I had no other option.
