Clean Staff was great,room is great

I stayed at this hotel with my husband Ashish during our New Year trip to New York, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The overall service was not up to the mark. The staff, especially during breakfast hours, appeared very rude and constantly in a hurry, which made guests feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. There was no warmth or basic hospitality that one expects while staying at a hotel, especially during a festive time like New Year. You don’t get water in the room, you have to come near reception to get the water. The toiletries provided were not good quality at all. The breakfast timing was 7-10 am, but the experience was rushed, and instead of feeling relaxed, it felt like we were being hurried to finish and leave. The ambience of the hotel was also not pleasant, it lacked cleanliness, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. At some moments me and my husband were even scared of the lady who was there, she even asked us to put the milk jar back into the fridge as we came 9:45 am for the breakfast on our last day of the stay coz we were packing and became late. Only one elevator was functioning throughout our stay and it took forever 😅😅 Given the brand name, we expected much better service and professionalism. Sadly, this stay did not meet our expectations at all. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving staff behavior, service quality, and overall guest experience. The only thing that we liked was cost approximately 800 CAD for 4 nights but again being this far from the city it’s not that cheap too, the buses were accessible very easily and there was a mexican restaurant right beside which stays open until 1 am it which made life easier.
