The Worst Stay I've Ever Had My stay at the Rai Hotel Juffair was a terrible experience that completely disregarded the most basic rights and privacy of guests. Room service barged into my room while my husband and I were asleep in bed, without knocking or asking permission, claiming they had entered by mistake! This is completely unacceptable and shocking. Before that, the room door wouldn't open with the card and got stuck. I had to wait for over 20 minutes while the staff tried to open it, without any serious apology or professional handling. To make matters worse, I received no compensation whatsoever for this blatant violation of privacy. The hotel manager was completely unprofessional; he took no action and didn't even try to meet with me or apologize personally. It was a disturbing and unsafe experience, and I would never recommend this hotel, especially to anyone who values privacy, respect, and decent service. Review reply: Thank you for your response. However, this explanation still highlights a serious lack of professionalism and proper safety procedures. Entering an occupied room without knocking or verifying occupancy is not a minor issue or a simple “human error” — it is a serious breach of privacy and safety. Incidents like this make the hotel feel unsafe, especially for families, couples, and women, and they should never happen in any professional hospitality establishment. Regardless of intent, the responsibility lies with the hotel to ensure strict protocols are followed at all times. An apology alone does not change the fact that this experience caused distress and demonstrated poor standards of guest safety and privacy.
