The staff is very obliging and friendly but the hotel is very very run down. The locker is broken. Even the menu card in the room is in tatters. The food is very basic for the price we paid cats and dogs roaming everywhere. All guests are not pet lovers. It was unhealthy. Ideally we need a refund. 14th to 15th March 2026

Beautiful bungalow complex with a private beach. Few tourists. Locals came for meals on weekends. Very pleasant atmosphere.

I’m sorry to say that our stay at Ranweli Holiday Village Hotel was a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations. There were many cats, dogs, and puppies roaming freely around the hotel premises, even inside the restaurant area, which made dining uncomfortable. We also noticed animal waste on the sand near the rooms, causing a bad smell and creating an unpleasant environment. The food variety was very limited and basic. When we requested a finger bowl to wash our hands after a meal, we were told to go to the washroom because they did not have finger bowls, which was surprising for a hotel of this category. The towels provided were torn and very old. At the pool area, there was no water available in the showers or taps, which was inconvenient. On our checkout day, we experienced a power failure, and due to having small children, we were forced to leave two hours earlier than planned. While the beach itself was okay, the overall condition and management of the hotel seem to be declining. I hope the management will take these issues seriously and improve the standards. Based on our experience, I would not recommend spending money here unless improvements are made. The worst hotel experience ever100%.
