Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this hotel. On the first day of my stay, 100 USD was stolen from my bag inside my room. The staff and management acted concerned on the surface, but in reality no effective action was taken to resolve the situation or ensure my safety. The police were called, statements were taken, but beyond that there was no real support or solution.

Mirissa Harbor is one of the most atmospheric places, a must-see if you're in Mirissa. It's more than just a port—it's a vibrant part of the city where fishermen, tourists, and locals gather, where you can hear the lapping waves, smell the salt, and feel the energy of the ocean. From early morning, you can watch the fishing boats set out for their catch, and in the evening, the pier comes alive again as the boats arrive with their catch. The atmosphere is especially captivating at sunrise and sunset—when the sea shimmers with every shade of blue and gold, and the sky seems endless. A stroll along the promenade is a refreshing experience: there are plenty of cafes where you can stop for fresh seafood, coffee, or a cold drink overlooking the ocean. The staff at these places are always friendly, smiling, and ready to share local stories and tips. A little-known historical fact: this port played an important role even during the colonial era. In the 19th century, European traders used Mirissa Bay as a refuge from the monsoons and as a hub for exchanging goods between Sri Lanka and other Indian Ocean countries. Explorers noted its convenient location and size, which allowed them to anchor safely in any weather. Besides its historical significance, Mirissa Harbor is a great place for whale and dolphin watching, boat rides, and simply a pleasant, leisurely stroll along the water. It's one of those places you want to return to again and again, just to sit on the shore, listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying the view. I highly recommend this port to anyone who loves the sea, bright experiences, and the genuine atmosphere of a coastal city.

Rooms were near. But service very poor. Phones not working. Couldn't contact reception or anyone for any needs. Night dinner, almost all trays were empty and we had a very bad experience. Reception staff too were not courteous
