Red Roof Inn Richmond, VA - W Broad St

My husband and I are writing a star review because of the following From Steve 1. This hotel has no dolly. Because there is no dolly we had to drag our bags to the building at the end of the parking lot. This hotel has three separate buildings that have rooms. Our room was in the second building at the end of the parking lot. Luckily, two nice guys carried to our room. 2. The bathroom near the front desk is out of order. 3. The refrigerator in our room was too small to put much in. 4. The breakfast doesn't consist of much. From Jackie 5. The entrance doors are broken and aren't fixed. The locks don't work . This is unsafe anyone can get in or out. 6. We couldn't wash our clothes there because guess what the washing machines in the laundry room don't work and they haven't been repaired. 7. There are no brooms and dustpans I asked at the desk twice and was told they didn't have any. We couldn't sweep not even before we left. We told the hotel associates behind the desk about the doors and washing machines and got We are waiting for the repair people. 8. Non existent Wi-Fi. The young men behind the front desk did their best help but I couldn't access the Wi-Fi even with the password I was given. This is the only hotel we've been to where we wash our clothes and access Wi-Fi. 9. A rude staff person. I took our dirty bed clothes to the ladies I saw working in the laundry room where staff washes bed linens. There were two women one older one younger. I asked for a blanket. When I got back with the second batch, the younger woman held out her phone. She told me Say hello. For some reason I did and heard a man's voice I recognized from the front desk . This guy started yelling at me. You're not supposed to bring anything to the laundry room people you give everything to house keeping. When I explained that I didn't know that I made an honest mistake the man said You have been staying here for more than twenty days you should know. If you do this again I will add an additional charge to your bill. No one should talk to anyone this way. If it weren't for customers Red Roof wouldn't own all their hotels. If it weren't for guests people working in hotels wouldn't have jobs. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, courtesy, and kindness. Customer Service. Treat us like human beings not human doings. Yet most of the staff are nice polite people especially the people in the housekeeping department. We appreciated the bus stop in front of the hotel we don't drive. There is a lovely Olive Garden restaurant next door and a Waffle House next to that. Guests at this Red Roof Inn should be reimbursed for all the amenities they don't and or don't exist.

I have stayed at this particular Red Roof Inn numerous times. My initial visit was less than satisfactory; however, subsequent stays have been outstanding. The rooms evoke memories of my visits to Leesburg, and now I consistently receive the room I prefer without even needing to request it. I appreciate the affordable pricing and the quality of the accommodations. I've encountered no issues with pests here, despite having stayed at more expensive hotels where I did. The customer service at the front desk has always been excellent, contributing to my positive experience. Overall, I find this location to be very satisfactory, and I plan to continue my visits. I highly recommend it to others and suggest becoming a Choice member, as I believe it enhances the experience.

would give 0 stars for customer service. management kicked me and my family out saying it was not an apartment or an extended stay. very rude when i asked for an explanation they refused to give us one just told us to leave
