The hotel boasts a prime location in the prime tourist district, right next to the beach and a variety of restaurants. Breakfast is pleasant and offers stunning sea views. The staff is exceptionally friendly, reflecting the welcoming nature of the Sri Lankan people. The room is spacious, although its furnishings are beginning to show signs of wear, including noisy bedding, graffiti on the walls, a damaged TV wall mount, and inadequate soundproofing. Regarding soundproofing, it's important to note that the hotel's rooftop is transformed into a nightclub every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and sometimes even Thursday. Our room, located on the fifth floor, was two floors below the rooftop. The music was extremely loud, with particularly powerful bass, making it impossible to sleep before closing time at 12:30 a.m. We seemed to be the only ones to complain about this situation. After reporting the problem to reception, we were promised a quieter night in a room on the first floor. We accepted the room change, but it didn't significantly improve the situation, which remained just as noisy. This situation is particularly disappointing as it wasn't mentioned during the booking process or on the confirmation. Had we been informed of this, we would have chosen a different hotel. If you're looking for a quiet stay, it's advisable to avoid this hotel. It would be wise to inform your guests about this potentially contentious situation involving both hotel guests and those of the nightclub.

It's okay for a one-day break. There's a bar on the sixth floor, and the noise from it reaches the room on the second floor, which is annoying. Anyone who's a light sleeper won't be able to sleep. Also, the air conditioning is weak, and the breakfast is limited and mostly Asian; there aren't even omelets.
