Regina Hotel

The hotel is well located if you want to visit western Crete. The most beautiful beaches are nearby, provided you have a car, of course. The town center isn't far either. You have plenty of places to stroll in the evening and go out for dinner nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly and always smiling. They even offered us coffee and drinks several times. The hotel is better suited to adults and/or families with teenagers. We stayed there at the end of August. The peace and quiet and the swimming pool are clearly the hotel's strong points. However, the rooms made for a terrible stay… The rooms are very small and equipped with only the bare essentials: the shower curtain is too short, which means the bathroom floods every time you shower; the bedding is poor quality and the pillows are very thin; there are no bath mats; towels are few and far between and not always changed… The car park is far too small for the number of visitors, who all have cars, as they are essential in Crete. Some cars end up parked in fields or right on the street. The streets aren't lit at night, so you can imagine how stressful that is, especially when you have a rental car. To avoid this, we didn't return to the hotel after 10:30 p.m. to make sure we had a parking spot. If you're on a tight budget, a hotel can do the job, but don't expect too much in terms of comfort.

A very nice hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff. About a 10-minute walk from the beach. For me, this hotel was a good starting point for my onward journey to the southwest of Crete.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I felt like I was in a little paradise. Every corner of the place exudes care, taste and warmth. The staff is incredibly kind and genuinely willing to help with anything you need — not just professionals, but people who love what they do. The facilities are spotlessly clean, meticulously maintained down to the last detail and offer everything you can imagine: a wonderful pool, a rich breakfast, comfortable rooms and a sense of tranquility that makes you forget about everything. What stands out, however, is the atmosphere. You feel that here they do not just offer accommodation — they offer an experience, hospitality and warmth that you do not easily find. A place that you find difficult to say goodbye to, because it makes you feel like home… only better! I will definitely be back.
