Relais Spa Val d Europe

Our family of three stayed at the hotel in early January 2026. Although the hotel is 4-star, it clearly doesn't live up to its promise: 1. The service is mediocre. A shuttle to Disneyland is advertised, but out of 4 trips, we only used it twice. Due to weather conditions, the shuttle was canceled in the morning, and we were told to take the train or taxi. Yes, I understand, but 4-star service at least requires reimbursement if you're already touting the shuttle service to and from Disneyland as a competitive advantage. 2. The weather worsened, and we needed umbrellas. The hotel usually provides umbrellas for guests. But even here, we were told, "Sorry, we don't have any." 3. The room inventory. We were given a very old room with broken doors, falling-apart plumbing, a bathroom with no drain, and broken and cracked dishes. 4. The room has a kettle, tea, and coffee sticks, but no coffee machine, which also differs from photos of similar rooms. It seems like some have one, but others don't. The same goes for the renovations, new furniture, and intact doors. 5. Breakfast seems to have a variety, but in reality, there's nothing to eat. For example, yesterday we were able to boil eggs, and the omelet was good. Today, we couldn't boil eggs, and the omelet was uneatable—it was tasteless. 6. In the restaurant where breakfast is served, there's a thick layer of dust all over the room between the tables, which were decorated with Christmas boughs. Among the positives: 1. The transfer driver was extremely pleasant. 2. The staff was pleasant. 3. The hotel is spacious and beautiful. Festive decorations for Christmas and New Year's are also present. 4. The location is ideal for visiting Disneyland: you can use the transfer, walk, take the train, or call a taxi. Plus, there are cafes, shops, and a shopping center nearby. 5. Two bottles of water are left in the room daily, and robes and slippers are provided. 6. We asked for a step into the bathroom for our child, and they brought one. This was nice because the sinks are designed in such a way that a child's hands can't reach the faucet or the soap. Incidentally, there is soap and shower gel, but no body lotion or hair conditioner, which is also odd for a 4-star hotel. I hope my review is helpful in terms of improvements.
