I really don’t know where to start. Maybe I should start with a good thing that the Cook who prepares the breakfast is a great kid (LORENZO) is very talented and this is the only good thing I can tell about hotel other than location. Lorenzo you should leave this establishment you deserve better. One incident I had was on Saturday night around 1 AM the person at the lobby gave me a new card when I told him that I lost my card and then I went up to my room and the card didn’t open the room. I went back downstairs to tell the guy that my card didn’t work he looked at me and asked what was my room number? I asked how did you set my key up previously and send me up to my room to try without knowing my room number. (There was nobody else at the lobby during that time so I know he was not confused )His answer to that was this is your third card for the same room and he looked like he was judging me or criticizing me for asking for a new card. At the end, it gave me another card and it worked. Next morning Sunday, I had to rush for breakfast because it ended at 10 AM which I think is very unusual . I got there a little earlier than 10 AM but when the time passed 10 AM staff became very unfriendly. They opened the front window of the breakfast area and it created a draft of air which caused our 65 year-old father to get sick all of us were there Freshly showered so all of us felt a bit sick because of their behavior. Also, when we asked for an espresso at the end of our breakfast, we received a very tough look from the staff. We told them the breakfast at least on Saturdays and Sundays should end at 11 not 10 AM. They said it is the policy. Policies may be wrong. Our rooms when we came back in the afternoon were under dust . It was very easy to figure it out because the phone in the room was black, and it was covered with lots of dust. When it was time to clean, old cleaner lady who is not happy at all comes to the room she just make the bed but not change sheets. The rooms were extremely hot because of the air conditioning . When we asked, they said it is a centralized AC unit. So during fall months once they switch it to heat, you cannot use it to cool the room. However, the weather was extremely nice and it was already warm and on top of this the air conditioning was blowing hot air. Because centrally it was switched to heat. Here is the bad part because The sold the heat situation when we open the windows there were no mosquito nets so the room got filled with mosquitoes and all night we could not sleep because mosquitoes were flying around our ears. And of course, we got a bit multiple times during the night my wife who was all allergic had pretty bad bumps on her skin in the morning. The street behind where our windows were facing, was not kept clean by the hotel so the leftovers from the garbage the bread people fed the pigeons work, causing a lot of mosquitoes and after the heat trap in our room, we had to open the windows and now we have lots of mosquitoes in our room. Rooms are extremely high ceiling so there’s no way you can get those mosquitoes during the night even if you have a good reflexes it is impossible.

Beautiful and welcoming relais in Piazza della Signoria Modern furnishings with a nod to old English style Comfortable rooms equipped with all the amenities you need for a stay The attention to guests and the courtesy of the staff are excellent Exceptional breakfast with a small sweet and savory buffet featuring top-quality products, complemented by delicious à la carte dishes The only negative was that my room was too hot, and overlooking a small alleyway where there was a restaurant exhaust vent, it was difficult to leave the window open.

THE PROS Perfect location for visiting Florence. Attentive breakfast staff. Nice decor. THE CONS It took 5 minutes, stopwatch in hand, before the hotel door was opened for us (the reception is on the 2nd floor). Very cold and unfriendly welcome. The complimentary bottle of water in the room was already open. Check-out was complicated regarding the bill. Tourist tax was paid in cash but doesn't appear on the bill (which I still haven't received). The room facing the street was noisy at night!
