Relais Villa Buonanno

Absolutely avoid! I booked New Year's Eve dinner at this establishment, priced at €160 per person. The service and organization were disastrous! There was no one to greet us at the entrance (except for a thug outside who was illegally parking). So we headed alone to the small room where the welcome buffet was held, with no one to welcome us. Afterwards, we headed to the room where the evening was being held, and I never would have thought we'd be dining on a veranda/tent in the gardens, not at all luxurious. We sat at the table, and it wobbled. It was cold inside despite the flame heaters, and everyone in the room complained about it. The only Christmas decoration was a tree with almost all its lights broken (I've attached a photo), unpresentable, shameful, and offensive for someone who spent €160 per person. Let's move on to the most scandalous part: the bathrooms weren't inside, but you had to leave the veranda in -1°C (30°F) and walk 100 meters through the gardens, on gravel in the cold. My partner, wearing high heels, couldn't walk alone. Elderly and disabled people were forced to walk those 100 meters in the freezing cold, risking falling. This is absolutely unacceptable! The food was acceptable, but the bottles of wine were already opened for everyone, so it was the house wine and not the one listed on the menu. I mentioned this to a waiter, and he said the bottles were already open and I couldn't have closed them. In the dining room, there was a DJ set (a terrible one, by the way) and a vocalist who focused on dinner and provided the minimum amount of entertainment possible. In front of the DJ set, there was a space where people were dancing and some wobbly tiles, risking losing their balance. At the end of the dinner, we didn't have coffee, liqueurs, or digestives because they weren't planned and weren't available. They told us to go to the bar, which, after walking another 100 meters in the freezing cold, was closed! There were no fireworks, nor even the cotechino and lentils that are served at many dinners, even if not explicitly listed on the menu. There was no manager present to complain to, just staff who simply agreed with us, and some were even working there for the first time, saying they never imagined they'd find such disorganization. How can you organize a dinner like that and charge €160? It was the kind of organization you'd expect from a low-end trattoria, but at least we would have been warm there. I contacted them the next day and wasn't able to speak to management, but instead to yet another employee who reported it. I personally will never set foot in this establishment again, and I won't recommend it to anyone. Avoid going there.

Wonderful location, very large private parking lot, top-notch breakfast with local products and homemade desserts. We had a suite with a staircase, very beautiful and spacious, with a huge terrace overlooking the villa's garden, comfortable bed, everything spotlessly clean. The atmosphere was meticulously cared for down to the smallest details.
