Had a GREAT weekend in Nashville at the Renaissance! It was our anniversary weekend and we had a wonderful time. So much to see and do within a short walking distance. The destination fee got us a daily food/drink credit, tickets to the Jonny Cash museum, and free flights at Nashville Barrel Distillery. And the staff surprised us with a split of rose wine and half a dozen of chocolate covered strawberries!! Such a sweet gesture 😁👍. Many thnx to them.

Staff was great. However, be aware, the walls in between the rooms are very thin. You can clearly hear conversations coming from rooms next to you. This was not good when they allow the room next to you to house a giant pitbull dog that greeted my wife and I with a growl and bark everytime we tried to enter our room. Which is what leads me to my next complaint. After a great night of partying on Broadway in Nashville, we were ready to get back to our room and pass out. Only problem was our door lock battery died and we couldnt get into our room at 2:30am. We had to wait for an engineer to change the battery. After having to allow him in our room at 2:30am, finally we could have peace and quiet around 3am, until the "breed of peace" dog started barking. Complaints via text message to our "host" were completely useless.

This is the most borderline 4 star review I could give. If 3.5 was an option, that would be it. The location of this hotel is top notch. As far as anything else goes, there is a lot of work to do. Much inconsistency with the front desk staff, service at The Bridge Bar, and housekeeping. Some nights we were able to grab extra towels on our way back to the room, other nights we were told “they are not kept behind the counter” and would need to be delivered. Not sure how that is possible when they were handed to us upon request the night prior. The male bartender at the Bridge Bar told me they closed at midnight, and seemed annoyed that he had to take my drink order at 11:32PM despite the entire bar being at near capacity. We never went back after the first time there. The food at Little Fib wasn’t great, but the service was excellent. It works out if you are in a pinch, and don’t feel like venturing out of the hotel for a quick meal. Housekeeping was terrible outside of the “after-hours” staff on hand. Multiple days Rubie H neglected our room (corner on the 9th floor) despite both requesting service upon check-in and having our DND sign off of the door. When the front desk was notified of this, they made me feel like I was in the wrong about having the sign still on the door, despite this not being the case (I am familiar with how hotels work, ya’ll. I’m 41 years old and have stayed at plenty in my lifetime). Overall, the best thing about Renaissance Nashville is the location. But when we head back to the city, we will look for a different place to stay.
