We stayed at this hotel for seven days. The location is absolutely fantastic: right on Broadway and 7th Avenue, in close proximity to Broadway shows and the subway. Times Square is only a 5-10 minute walk away – perfect if you want to experience it almost empty early in the morning. We had a room on the 64th floor of a 65-story building with a direct view of Times Square and the Hudson River – the view was simply spectacular. Breakfast was included in the price of €550 per night. What we found lacking was a sense of cleanliness. The kitchen and the room seemed rather dated, the bed/mattress was very dusty and not particularly comfortable. The room also smelled of mold, and water regularly leaked from the shower. Although we had a kitchenette in the room, there was no stove, only a microwave. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special, and was served exclusively on paper plates. We unfortunately cannot recommend the cocktails. The reception staff wasn't particularly friendly, but the kitchen staff were very kind and helpful. A particularly positive aspect was that my wife had her birthday during our stay: the kitchen staff congratulated her at breakfast and spontaneously improvised a small cake – a very thoughtful and thoughtful gesture. Another downside was the very long wait times for the elevators. In conclusion: You're mainly paying for the location and the view.
