Residhome Carrieres La Defense

We stayed for 3 days there and during checkout the room, we forgot money box and when we get back to hotel for asking,they told us there isn’t and they refused to checkout even cc camera .. worst experience ever 🫣🫣

Stay from December 10th to 11th. Room 428 The location is convenient: 7 minutes by bus from Houilles-Carrières train station. Perfect for getting around quickly to La Défense or Paris. You have to take bus C from the train station exit to get to the hotel. The bus stops at the Konica JVC stop every 30 minutes and stops right in front of the hotel. To get to Houilles train station from the hotel, the bus stop is next to the hotel. Buses run every 10 minutes. It takes 30 minutes to get to La Défense if you drive well. Upon arrival, the welcome was adequate, not unpleasant, but not particularly warm either. The bare minimum. In the room, the furniture is decent enough... as long as you don't look too closely. The equipment is complete: microwave, kettle, stovetop, dishes, cups, everything you need to cook (even though I didn't use it, it's always good to know). Tea bag and small cake no instant coffee sachet On the other hand, the bathroom… that's where you start to see the age of the establishment: Weared grout, Worn mirror frame, Damaged wood, no hairdryer, shower gel and hand gel, small safe A bit of vintage charm, but not what you'd expect at €94 a night. The shower system is clearly from another century. The showerhead wouldn't work at first: you actually have to pull a small knob to activate the spray, a very old system. The technician came up to show us how it worked and explained that these "mixers" should be replaced. He's not wrong. Back in the room, there were a few small things that weren't properly attached here and there… but THE real problem is the bed. And I'm talking about a serious problem: the bed creaks with every movement, I mean really creaks. Not a cute little squeak—no, a constant, loud, incessant squeaking 👎👎😑 that was impossible to ignore. The result: it ruined our romantic evening. The atmosphere was completely shattered. For an aparthotel, this is a real shame, and for me, it's the biggest negative point of the stay. It needs to be fixed urgently. (20cm mattress + 10cm topper 👎) Comfortable pillow, we slept well 👍 No noise from the neighbors that day but we were noisy 😅 Nice decor 👍 Old-fashioned 66cm flat-screen TV from 2005, no smart TV Small outdoor terrace overlooking the parking lot 😅 No place to sit We didn't have time to enjoy the pool, and by the way: swimming cap required (something to know beforehand). No bathrobe in the room. Nice little extra: a mini-supermarket right below reception, very convenient.
