Resort Bad Boekelo

Had a wonderful night away! The rooms are a bit dated, but you don't spend much time there anyway. Beautiful surroundings, good breakfast, and very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

Wij hebben een senioren-arrangement geboekt: 3 overnachtingen, inclusief ontbijt en diner. Bij check-in werd ons teveel in rekening gebracht; is professioneel en snel opgelost. Entree is mooi en ruim. Kamerwissel (bg) op dag van aankomst agv beperkte ontvangst van de tv-zenders. Verder zeer tevreden over de kamer, goed matras en fijne kussens. Geen waterkoker, wel kon je een kop koffie zetten. Genoeg ruimte voor bagage. Ontbijt is goed. Heerlijk brood en allerlei soorten beleg. Vers fruit, yoghurt, gekookte eieren of scrambled eggs. Uitstekende koffie. Sfeer in de bar en restaurant is ok, maar niet heel intiem. De lampen in het midden van het restaurant (aan het plafond) vonden wij slordig afgewerkt. Avondeten is van voldoende kwaliteit. Groenten/garnituur kon warmer!!! Zwembad is top, fijne temperatuur en schoon. Bowlingbaan hebben we een uurtje gehuurd, miste er muziek en wat gezellige aankleding, weinig sfeervol. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en attent. Ligging is perfect. We hebben direct vanuit het hotel mooie wandelingen kunnen maken. The tranquility of the resort is very pleasant. Excellent value for money. We had a wonderful few days.

With great attention to detail… until it starts costing you money. 😊 The lobby, restaurant, and bar are beautifully furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. The staff is very friendly. The room was modern and decently furnished. 😞 Our bathroom resembled a wet room in a nursing home. It had a plastic stool for people with mobility issues and no heating. No shower curtain, just a squeegee. Cold and bare. The same was true of the sauna area, which we were especially looking forward to at the wellness resort. A visit costs €10 per person for 3 hours. The sauna is 70 degrees Celsius, with no water or fragrance for an infusion. The steam room has nothing to clean it with. No hose or bucket to rinse the benches. The loungers are made of wood and have no cushions. So, relaxation or dozing is out of the question. No flowers, no pictures, no coziness. We left after 1.5 hours and went back to our room to lie down in the comfortable bed. The sauna area was the same, which we had been particularly looking forward to at a wellness resort. We also visited the gym, which cost €7.50 per person. It had a treadmill, a rowing machine, an exercise bike, dumbbells, and a few mats. No equipment for biceps, triceps, abduction, or anything else… If we had known that, we would have saved our money. Overall, it's a "nice" room, bright and decorated with a few pictures. But it's definitely not worth €7.50. Many gyms charge €5 for a day pass. There are two coffee capsules in the room – if you want another coffee the next morning, you can buy one at reception for €0.60. Seriously? Breakfast was okay. Nothing special. Scrambled eggs from a bulk pack, a few types of bread, some cheese, some cold cuts, yogurt, and fruit. Tea, a coffee machine (also serving latte macchiato, etc.), fruit juice from a dispenser, and delicious Chocomel. But… For example, no salmon, fish, or sparkling wine. For €22.50 per person, we expect better.
