Resort Hotel Laforet Nasu

Compared to Harvest in Nasu Used by a family of four (elementary school and preschool children) We usually stay at Harvest, but this was our first time at Laforet. When we arrived by car in front of the hotel, a staff member rushed over, and after we told them our names, they guided us to the hotel, carried the cart, pressed the elevator buttons, and asked us to leave the cart in front of our room after carrying it. At Harvest, it's mostly self-service, so we were impressed by their attentiveness. For guests with dogs, they were given a cute mini-bag with water and treats as a gift. There was only one key, and it was an old-fashioned key, so it was inconvenient to decide in advance who would take it to the bathroom first, etc. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a lockable locker. The bathrooms on the 4th and 5th floors alternate daily. Basic amenities were provided in the bathrooms. The 4th floor was... The lack of an open-air bath and the fact that the massage chairs are extra are downsides compared to Harvest. The staff I encountered in the first half of my stay were polite, but when I bought alcohol at the shop and tried to borrow a bottle opener at the front desk, a middle-aged staff member (after 8 PM) with messy hair and a dirty mask silently handed me the bottle opener, practically rolling it over. There was no explanation about returning it or anything like that. Because everyone else was so polite, just one bad person completely changed my impression. If it's going to turn a good feeling into a bad one, I'd rather have a self-service style like Harvest from the start. Reducing plastic waste is good, but I think they should at least provide toothbrushes for free (or charge for additional ones for extended stays). It was a shame because I had a good impression at first due to the nice staff. The price is best and cheapest through the official website.

I stayed with my beloved Shiba Inu. The room is pet-friendly, but it was kept very clean and there was no smell or dirt. This is actually my second time staying here, and I was happy that it was just as clean this time, so I decided to post it. The first time I stayed, I added the breakfast buffet, but it was disappointing, so this time I skipped it and went to Penny Lane, which is about a 10-minute drive away. Seven-Eleven is also about a 5-minute drive from the hotel. The view is also nice. There is a hot spring bath.

I suddenly found a hotel that would accommodate me on Saturday after 9 PM on a Friday, so I booked a room-only stay. I paid online and only paid the bath tax upon check-in. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were a group of three adults, but we only had one room key, so we had to use the baths at different times. We bought food and ate it in the room, but there were microwaves in several locations and vending machines on each floor, which was convenient. I was looking forward to the hot springs, and they weren't crowded. The hot springs are on the 4th and 5th floors, but they alternate between odd-numbered and even-numbered days, so it was nice to be able to enjoy two locations. However, while you can soak in a long bath, the temperature was low, so it might not be enough for those who like hot baths. I wear a yukata robe, so I brought a sweatshirt. I also brought my own amenities. The price was reasonable, and I didn't mind using my usual items. The refrigerator in the room was small but convenient. It was a great stay, so I'd definitely use it again.
