The rooms have very thoughtful touches. I thought the top would be open but it is more on the sides, still absolutely gorgeous and warm. I would definitely stay here again

In October 2025, we decided to spend the last night of our trip in one of the Reykjavik Domes, and we definitely wouldn't recommend it! After parking and picking up our key, we walked to our dome. We slept in Dome Laki. The room was nicely furnished and had a small refrigerator, and there was a small jacuzzi outside. At first glance, everything seemed very nice and cozy. However, Dome Laki didn't have proper heating, the toilets were in a dirty container outside the dome, and the shower was like something you'd find at a festival. The only positive thing was the communal kitchen, which was quite well-equipped. Upon closer inspection, our dome was rather run-down. The space heater, which was supposed to heat the room, didn't do anything. The refrigerator smelled musty, and all the electric blankets were broken. As a result, our dome cooled down to about 15 degrees Celsius during the night, and we were freezing. Furthermore, the domes are located in an industrial area, and during the day, guests at the paintball arena next door could practically see into our dome. The street and cars could also be heard constantly (even at night). The door to our dome had a zipper but wasn't airtight. As a result, cold air leaked into our room all night. For the very high price for just one night, our dome was a real disappointment. If you're considering spending a night here, don't!
