The rooms and the service in general were quite good; the owner was very friendly and attentive. However, it's worth noting that because the streets are so narrow, cars can't get in, which means you have to walk about five minutes. These streets are a bit unfriendly and give a feeling of insecurity. Fortunately, nothing bad happened to us there. I would still recommend choosing something closer to the main square, because walking back at night becomes unfriendly and dangerous. We had a bad experience there (I always recommend keeping the riad's contact number handy so you can call them if needed). They were very attentive, and the night watchman gave us his WhatsApp number for anything we might need. However, this was still uncomfortable because upon arrival, he made inappropriate comments, called us on WhatsApp, and sent messages like "nice photo" and things like that, which made it a bit unpleasant and uncomfortable. We decided to block him. However, the rest of the staff were really friendly and made us feel comfortable at all times.

This riad is beautiful with super nice and helpful personel. We loved all three Achmeds that work there. They were amazing in making us feel so welcome and all the attention to details. We would love to come back one day.

The Riad Ben Tachfine is truly a fantastic place to stay. Every member of staff is extremely friendly, always helpful, and just warm-hearted. My wife and I chatted to the staff again and again and received so much openness and good advice and friendliness. The rooms are beautifully designed, especially the bathrooms. At first, we somewhat underestimated the heat and were prone to dizziness. When we told the team, they looked after us lovingly, provided us with more damp towels, and offered us advice. Since it's easy to get lost in the souks, we were warned in advance and provided with hand-drawn sketches. We also highly recommend the great trips into the desert, including a quad bike or camel tour, which we booked through the hotel. Last tip: The Secret Gardens around the corner are a small natural paradise and consist of the Islamic Garden and the Exotic Garden. It's best to go twice: once for a first impression, and once with more time to enjoy the wonderful plants and the paradisiacal atmosphere. The famous Yves Saint Laurent garden is just 15 minutes away and equally impressive, with its stunning architecture and colorful palette, and the Berber Museum, which is also located there, is also very interesting.
