The riad is practically in the center of the Medina, and the receptionist was truly kind and helpful. Despite its proximity to the center, there's no noise at night and it's relatively quiet to get to (though the street is a bit dark). Our room wasn't very spacious, but I think it is like most rooms in riads in the Medina. However, there were several aspects that I wasn't satisfied with and that I think need urgent attention: the bathroom, with a nauseating smell coming from the shower (which I reported to the staff and was partially resolved), and the ceiling plaster, which was peeling due to excessive humidity (this was also reported and resolved after three days of the room not being cleaned on the floor and sofa). The sheets and towels were dirty, left to dry on the table in front of our room, with cats and other animals crawling on them. Finally, breakfast: "typical Moroccan" up to a point, but in my opinion very poor (traditional pastries, fried eggs with oil, butter, and honey to drizzle over them), with no jams or other alternatives like I've seen in other riads. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10, but one morning I showed up at 8:30 and, not only did I find the tables and chairs still wet from rain the night before, but the service wasn't ready yet.
