My cousin Jenny and I stayed at Riad Tizwa Marrakesh in February on the recommendation of friends. It more than met our expectations. Everything about Riad Tizwa Marrakesh is wonderful… The design, the furnishings, the rooms, and breakfast. I particularly loved the top terrace. Hassan and his team run a very slick operation….. their attention to detail is amazing and their priority is the happiness of everyone staying at the Riad. Hassan organised a half day tour of Marrakesh for us with Hannan which was fascinating. It was such an amazing visit and I will be returning to Riad Tizwa in May and again in 2027 when I’ll be bringing friends with me to help me celebrate a special birthday …….

The day started with a hearty and delicious breakfast-the homemade yogurt was out of this world! At night, I had the most comfortable sleep! Riad Tizwa is located most conveniently being steps away from the main road yet in a quiet spot. It is walking distance to the medina, so many restaurants, Bacha coffee and a spa/massage place which just made me love the place. I had planned day trips on my own and was nervous about coordinating the pick up as I did not speak the local language. When I expressed this concern to Hassan, the manager, he proactively called the tour companies the day before to confirm the pick up time and place which assured me so much. On one of the days when it was raining quite a bit and the tour company wanted to pick me up from a different spot and I felt lost as I could not understand exactly, a female staff spoke to the guy on the other side of the phone, grabbed an umbrella and walked me to the pick up spot - like a caring sister. Stayed here for three nights and had a good experience overall. In general, the on-site staff were very nice, especially Hassan and Hamid, who were kind, friendly, and attentive. They truly went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. I understand and appreciate the owners’ intention to preserve a traditional style, however the rooms, particularly the bathrooms, could benefit from some major updates. For example, installing a bathroom exhaust fan would help reduce moisture, as the room felt quite damp during my stay. In addition, the towels and hair dryer were quite old. Overall, the warm service and care from the on-site staff made a real difference during my stay.
