I pretty much split my time between Jo'burg and another city. Unfortunately, the area I visit in Jo'burg is notorious for power outages. I had to spend my Christmas here due to a power outage. This last weekend, I had to spend two days here for the same reason. It has been such a great experience! They let me check in very early so I could work, and they were super helpful all the time. My bed was comfortable. The aircon was great. The shower was nice (I really like the hair/body soap - if you guys want to sell it to me, I will buy it!) There is a communal microwave. Also, you can order from Sixty60 with no issues. Things I would recommemd: Take a multiplug. There was one wallplug, so if you have a second screen, you have a problem. Take extra coffee so you can drink as much as you like. The wifi is very solid! 60 Mbps up and down, and no lag. Having to go to a hotel because your power is off is insanely sucky, but you can work from here with no issues. Great internet, comfortable place.

had a very troubling stay at this guest house. In the morning after arriving, my belongings were stolen from my room, including my ID, bank cards, money, and phone. I immediately informed the owner/management. Instead of taking responsibility or helping to investigate, I was told to report the theft to the police and return with a case number, . I followed their instruction, went to the police, and eventually returned with the required documentation, but the response from the guest house remained minimal and indifferent. Now they are saying i must come with a warrant officer to view any security footage that they didn't tell me at the first time i give my report. Because of what happened and how it was handled, I felt unsafe and unsupported. I also have concerns that the situation may involve people working with the property’s staff, though I cannot prove that—this is based on the circumstances I experienced and the lack of meaningful cooperation. Given the theft of personal items, the lack of effective assistance or accountability, and the overall sense of insecurity, I cannot recommend staying here. I hope this warning helps others avoid a similar situation. had a very disappointing experience at this guest house. From the time I arrived, the treatment from the staff was unprofessional and unwelcoming. The most serious issue happened in the morning when some of my personal belongings were stolen from the room. I immediately reported the matter to the guest house owner/management, but unfortunately, they showed little concern and offered no meaningful assistance or investigation. I expected safety, respect, and proper customer care, but none of these were provided. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here, especially if you value your security and customer service.
