Honestly coming here I didn't have really high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised by how well maintained the rooms were

The staff is nice and it's safe shelter next to the freeway. It's not fancy and the rooms have old furniture, but the wifi is free, there's cable television with lots of channels and in the morning you can get waffles and cereal. The AC and heating work just fine. If you're expecting a Hilton or Marriott, this is definitely not the place for you. After moving to California in 2019, my (now ex) husband spiraled into extreme alcoholism which apparently progressed into a meth addiction he was hiding with the local Santa Clarita drug dealer named Mark. After enough lying and gaslighting, he eventually lost his job and got his wife and kids evicted from a middle income apartment in Santa Clarita. The domestic abuse services in Los Angeles County are a scam and don't help the victims in any way (put your name on this waitlist and wait for nothing), but instead, DPSS in Los Angeles County helped the drug abuser, giving him free food, free housing and money to buy Fireball and Vodka everyday for about 8 months. Of course, he found a new codependent girlfriend to scam so he eventually split out of there, leaving a mountain of debt in his responsible ex wife's lap. This hotel isn't fancy in any way, but it protected me and gave me shelter and safety when I was forced to become homeless, while I was being deceived by a drug addicted spouse. I'm going to give the place a big nice thumbs up. The price is always reasonable and it's surrounded by food and stores for your basic essentials. It's mostly filled with truckers stopping overnight. There's an enormous Road Pilot truck stop with showers, food within walking distance and nice employees. The surrounding area has several places for auto and truck repairs. I've moved on to Arizona where rent, gas and life is affordable and the government isn't blatantly corrupt, but if you find yourself in a situation where you need shelter in a bind, this is good enough. Nothing is normal in Southern California and everyone is on drugs, so I wouldn't advise moving there, but if you find yourself stuck and needing shelter, this place is just fine.

I stayed at the hotel for about two weeks. It's old and could use some renovation. Breakfast consists of a pot of coffee. The staff at reception were always friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned twice a week. Towels and bed linens were changed each time.
