The hotel, the experience, and the food are very good, but the bartender between the two main pools is very classist, especially if you don't tip him. I saw him give children a dirty look when they approached him for drinks and prioritize foreigners or people with more money. Honestly, it's a very good experience, I recommend it, but that man is extremely classist, even with adults. He much prefers Americans. Throughout the hotel, at the buffet, the snack bar, and the other bars, everyone is very friendly; it's only at that bar between the two pools that the staff is so rude.

My husband and I are currently staying here. Before we came here I read reviews and was a little worried. However, since I am here now, I will cover some of the topics complained about. 1. It's a resort, they have entertainment, if you're like us and go to bed early, use white noise on the phone. I don't notice the entertainment lasting past 10pm. This also mitigates the hallway noises. 2. The food is decent. I stick to a pretty basic protein and veggie diet, where my husband is carb happy. We are both food snobs. I haven't noticed one hot dog or chicken finger. I have noticed several options of pasta, salads, meat, bread, etc. the buffet is not a disappointment. 3. The no door to the toilet situation. I discovered that the shower door is that door. You open it enough and there is a stopper on the wall separating the sink room to toilet/shower room. Problem solved. 4. There are two panels for the curtains, which creates blackout. Close them both. 5. The staff here...ALL OF THEM are ridiculously friendly. They smile, say hello, wave, offer help, and even giggle with us about our sunburns haha. We are already planning another trip here at the same time next year, but this time, we are bringing the in-laws. Keep up the amazing work Hotel Decameron. We are happy and satisfied customers. Very nice, quiet place. They don't discriminate even though most of the guests are foreigners. Points to improve: the snack bar is very, very slow, and the live show needs more fun. My only complaint is about the bartender at the adults-only pool; he's grumpy and gets even angrier if you don't pronounce the drink names correctly.
