This hotel was definitely worth 5 stars at one time. The entrance area is fantastic. The pool and all the rooms – including ours – are huge. There are stucco ceilings, ornate ceilings, and inlays everywhere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, a 25-minute walk to the Medina. Despite this, it's quiet. The price/performance ratio is okay. Reasons for deductions: The curtains are difficult to open and close, some are even broken, the doorknob comes off when you close the bathroom door, the windows leak, my bedsheet was torn, the towels are ancient, and everything is a bit dated. At breakfast, they offer yogurt, but there are only knives and forks – how are you supposed to eat the yogurt with those? There's no honey or jam. You have to queue outside for scrambled eggs and pancakes. None of this is befitting a 5-star hotel. However, apart from that, the breakfast is extensive, and there's something for everyone. Overall, I would stay here again for €125.

A good hotel, the staff were very friendly, the pool side would be nice in summer. I did have a few issues, - the gym was terrible the equipment was broken - The rooms when I first came were very dirty, however once I did raise this with them they were happy for me to change (did this a few times). - The breakfast was not something I enjoyed (but that’s a personal preference) With all the negatives aside, the staff here were very friendly, would have given a lot lower but they were very friendly and willing to address my room issues instead of brushing it off.

I want to emphasize that the staff is fantastic; they were incredibly welcoming and kind. I even received a fruit platter as a welcome gift. However, this hotel and its facilities are not worthy of a 5-star rating. The towels were faded with sailor's stains, and the sheets were stained. It's obvious that it's old and that the bed linens, including the towels, haven't been replaced in a very long time. The furniture is not up to 5-star standards; everything needs to be reviewed, except for the staff's excellent friendliness.
