We stayed five nights at this hotel. The rooftop restaurant and food quality were excellent; however, the room condition and amenities did not meet five-star standards. The water temperature was inconsistent and often too cold for comfortable showers. The rooms were quite dark and lacked sufficient power outlets, particularly near the bed. Additionally, the air conditioning did not function properly. That said, the common areas are beautiful and the location is excellent.

The location is perfect. You get out from the lobby and you will find everything you need. All the major attractions are within walking distance. The Athenian room (can't remember the number) we stayed at had an unobstructed view of the Temple of the Athenian Zeus). The Acropolis? Well, there is only one spot in the room where you can see a glimpse of the Parthenon. But hey, you can see it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a problem with the drain in the shower. The water was not sinking so if you don't turn off the water while shampooing or whatever, water level would be above your ankle by the time you get out of the shower. It was kind of gross. And the rainshower head! It was level to the ledge where you put your shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. so you would need some special maneuvering to get yourself washed. I wonder if the person who installed it was blindfolded while doing the job. We were there in October and the room was freezing. We had to ask for a heater to get comfortable (we are from Canada so when I say it was freezing, it was really cold 🥶). And there was no hair dryer. I normally don't use it but since the room was like a cold cellar, I requested one before I caught pneumonia. The hair dryer, of course, hardly worked. TV was a relic, didn't work but who needs 📺 when on vacation? The rooftop restaurant was the best. The sweeping views of Athens were in full display at the restaurant. Food was okay. One lady at the front desk was super nice. The lobby, sitting areas,pool area were clean and welcoming. Overall, the hotel is okay.
