Royal Solaris Los Cabos – All Inclusive

I booked a 7-night stay at Club Solaris Los Cabos from 12/29 to 1/5/2026, but checked out after 3 nights due to the following issues: Upon entering the room, there was a strong, unpleasant odor, and hair clumps were visible on the floor. I requested housekeeping the next day. While the floor was swept, the odor remained. Dining availability was extremely limited. All restaurants except one were fully booked for the duration of our stay, leaving us with only the buffet or pizza as options. For the New Year’s Eve dinner, we were fortunate to learn in advance that reservations were required. However, after being seated and having drinks placed at our table, another family was seated at the same table. When we brought this to staff’s attention, the interaction was handled poorly, and we were referred to as “gringos” in a derogatory manner, which was unacceptable. Given these issues, I notified the front desk that I would be checking out early on 1/1. I was initially not expecting a refund, but the on-site supervisor stated that a partial refund would be issued. After reviewing my confirmation, the cancellation policy states that “no-shows and early departures will incur a 99 stay penalty.” Since my prepaid rate was well over $99 per night, I reasonably expected a refund for the unused nights minus that penalty. However, customer service later stated that no refund applies once the stay has commenced, which directly contradicts the written policy. This was my third visit to Mexico, and I have stayed at less expensive all-inclusive resorts with significantly better quality and service. This was, unfortunately, my most disappointing experience to date. I would strongly recommend booking with larger, well-established resort chains for better consistency, transparency, and accountability.

The pool exercises with Arturo were great! My mom had a fantastic time with the exercises and activities, especially because it helps with mobility and because of the trip; it's really needed.
