Centrally located, with far too high expectations. The assigned rooms didn't offer the option of opening windows or a balcony. After paying an additional fee, I was assigned a superior room. The description "riverside" turned out to be inaccurate, as the view was obstructed by vegetation or a hotel under construction. Furthermore, the housekeeping staff left much to be desired; I had to repeatedly request refills of coffee pods and/or water. Furthermore, the terrace wasn't cleaned during my two-week stay. The room was equipped with a television, but the selection of local or international channels was limited. In the middle of the night, I had to contact reception because of noise pollution caused by another guest's music on the balcony, which was clearly audible downstairs. The in-room safe malfunctioned twice: the first time due to a corroded battery, and the second time I had to remove the batteries myself, also in the middle of the night. The hairdryer in the bathroom wouldn't turn on either. The breakfast was excellent, as was the "Royal" service of the staff in and around the restaurant and at the reception.

The quality has drastically declined; they have no proper control. The room we were given on the first night was so noisy due to a new disco nearby that sleep was impossible. After complaining, we were given a different room, but it was another sleepless night, and according to them, this is a known issue! Clogged drains and room service have deteriorated significantly; it's unclean and unprofessional. Towels and water bottles were missing, and sometimes we had to complain because they had forgotten to clean. We didn't have any change in the till and were told to come back in the afternoon. Towels were sometimes missing at the pool. The staff is doing their best, but they are understaffed, and there are major management flaws. Since I was used to the high standards, I am doubly disappointed, especially considering the price of €185 without breakfast. I hope things improve, as I really appreciated it until now.
