Love it!! I had the luxury of enjoying the butler service who’s was superb. To my understanding service was amazing without the service also . Food was gourmet, not the average nachos, burgers and hot dogs but we were feed scallops,fish,salmon,mussels and calamari daily

Beware!! My family stayed here the week of Thanksgiving 2025. While checking in we were told there would be an additional Mexico tax of $277 due upon check in; I put it on my cc. When we returned to the States I saw on my card history that the resort charged me $2,177.28!!!! Of course I was not able to get in touch with anyone at the resort via email or phone calls. This was fraudulent!

If you are debating whether to upgrade to Diamond Club, let me deinfluence you. Second time coming to this hotel, but unfortunately this time around I came back disappointed. A lot of us come to all inclusive resorts to unwind, drink (plenty) and eat but somehow the service lacked for Diamonds Club Members (also we weren’t the only ones who noticed). There would maybe be one waiter in the pool/beach area to wait on guest and somehow even though me and my sisters are tippers, we could not get service especially if it was a female waiter. My sister asked a female waiter for two drinks and she never came back with them. I really wasn’t able to drink much because of this. I walked over to Munchies, the bar on the regular side, and I had to explain to the bartenders there taking my food orders that there was no waiters coming up to me and my sisters just so they could take my order, I did wait for the food myself. Shout out to Kevin at Munchies for offering to bring me and my sister food after ordering it for the next two days in a row to where we were sitting at the diamond club area. Don’t understand why so many butlers (more than wait staff) walking around the pool/beach area if they can’t take your drink order. The regular side did not seem to have an issues getting drinks and food, plenty of wait staff on their side. They also run out of beach chairs fairly quickly on diamond club and don’t bother to do anything about it. When checking out, in the diamond club area also slow and understaff. After waiting for sometime, we walked out to check out in the regular area. The only plus side for having butler service is the restaurant reservations, but even then, we somehow were really just given two options. Shout out to Angel at the Steak House for cheering us up after disappointing beach and pool days and Mauricio AKA the Godfather from the Seafood restaurant. Food at restaurants was good and their waiters! Our favorites were the seafood and the steakhouse! I do think they could do better options for poolside/beach food- mostly fried fast food. I do think they could do better especially when it’s an all adults and don’t need the hot dogs. We were there for 6 days and only once did we see them grill outside but of course ran out of food quickly. Also, there was never usually someone at the towel station, really had to practice my patience one day when they had ran out of towels and there was also no one at the station to talk to. Like others have mentioned, elevators are slow and usually one always down. Be prepared to be packed like sardines. Housekeeping was great too, only one time were we left with no towels and I could not call using our phone as the housekeeping button did not work. I unfortunately, did sign up for their prime membership club and starting to regret it after the service we received. Might of not signed up if we didn’t do it right after we arrived. Also, they lie to you and tell you it’s only 90 min. I think we were there from like 10:30am to almost 2pm. What they also don’t tell you, on those free or discounted massages, you don’t get an option. You just get a relaxing message. You also don’t get to choose the time. For these massages paid by prime you only get 3pm slots no matter how you beg them that it’s prime time to be laying out in the sun. The relaxing massage just felt like someone rubbing lotion on my body. We did tell our butler that we felt like we were getting treated worse after going from the black diamond club bracelet to the white prime membership. Shoutout to our Butler Esteban who kept apologizing to us for our complaints. Not sure if I will be back. I do recommend Hotel Riu Palace Kukulkan!
