Everything was great, except for the internet. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in terms of internet.

I love hot springs and often stay at various places, but honestly, I didn't find this experience that great, considering my high expectations. First, a foreigner guided me, but I could barely understand what he was saying because he spoke broken Japanese. I support his efforts, but I think he should wait until he can speak a little better before becoming a guide. Because the building is old, it's quite cold inside in the winter. Even after warming up in the hot springs, I still got cold walking around the shop. It's not barrier-free, so there are stairs everywhere, and the tatami mats leading to the rooms are uneven, so I tripped over them. The large public bath has quite a few steps right after entering, which is already slippery, so I think it would be quite dangerous for elderly people. The bath temperature was set quite high, so I couldn't stay in for long. I wanted to take a long soak in the open-air bath, but it was too hot, so I had to leave immediately. The portion of dinner was so large that it was quite painful. I've had kaiseki cuisine at previous ryokans, and while it's generally large, this was the first time I'd experienced such a painful experience. The food was delicious. As for the good points, there were free drinks available 24 hours a day (although the cafe latte machine was out of order...) and the Ikko Ikki drumming was entertaining, even though the performance was a bit old-fashioned.

I stayed here for three nights and four days for my mother's birthday. This hotel-style ryokan is located inside Kaga Onsen Station. There was a lot of snow at the time, so getting around was a bit inconvenient, but that was somewhat resolved by the shuttle bus. The rooms are a bit old, so they might be a bit uncomfortable considering the current architecture, but I think you'll get used to them. The heating and shower facilities are good. I recommend dinner. The chef-prepared course meal is superb. Breakfast is also recommended for a shorter stay. The souvenir shop is also very well-stocked. I was able to find most of the Ishikawa souvenirs I needed. The onsen has a large public bath and an open-air bath, and I recommend using it in all seasons except winter. The view is beautiful and the room is warm. The staff are friendly.
