we booked the hotel before we realised it’s location to city, which was around 20min walk.. but also didn’t realise we were right above a nightclub which you could hear until 4/5am due to everyone outside and the music even though we were 3rd floor. they said complimentary breakfast but was only croissants and tea and coffee starting at 7am, but when we came downstairs at 8:30 there was a mop in the restaurant and no sign of breakfast. one of the tiles in the bathroom was cracked and lifting where our feet would be when sat on the toilet. i understand that there’s a nightclub, but throughout the night the smoke alarm went off 5 times, which kept waking us up, but no reassurance as to why it kept going off.. and being a city, most people would be trying to rest after hours of sightseeing etc. so when we woke the next morning, we were still tired, but couldn’t sleep the next night either due to an early flight back home. staff and 24hr security were lovely though. for our first trip it could’ve been worse, but will go more towards the city and probably stay in premier inn next time.

Not bothered about the noise from the clubs. A quick Google search should have prevented those who do care from booking. What I take issue with is the fire alarm going off at all hours of the night for no reason, which was ear piercingly loud and nobody did anything about as it happened again and again and again. The room was also unbelievably hot, presumably from all the body heat downstairs, the AC in the room doesn't work at all and you can't open the window because you let all the noise from the club in. The rooms are nice and big, the staff were nice but decent AC is needed. It was freezing outside but absolutely boiling in our room. Wouldn't stay again for that reason, we were expecting it to be loud because we actually looked up the location on Google maps so no issue there. We brought noise cancelling headphones and had had a few drinks so would have slept fine if it wasn't the fire alarm going off all throughout the night - unacceptable.

If you want to get a good night's sleep, DON'T COME HERE!!! Besides the party going on inside the hotel, with all the shouting and noise, they can set off the fire alarm up to 10 times in the middle of the night! The hotel of horrors
