This is a recommended inn for those who value food. The hot springs are also very nice, so I went there many times.

It was a wonderful inn. The food was top-notch. The hot springs were also great. As this was my first time, I stayed in a room called "Fukujusou," thinking it would be nice with a view of the garden, but I ended up staying in a room on the first floor behind the front desk. The inn is on a hill, but being on the first floor it smelled moldy, which was disappointing. Next time I'll get a room on the second floor. The sauna in the large public bath is open until the evening.

I've been to Ishikawa Prefecture's hot spring resorts in Yamanaka, Himi, Wakura, Katayamazu, and especially Yamashiro Onsen, but this was my first time visiting Tatsunokuchi Onsen. It's hidden away in a residential area, but from the entrance it's like a different world. Maintaining the gardens alone must be a lot of work, but they're incredibly beautiful and well-maintained. The lobby is carpeted, with tatami mats and no slippers needed. The grounds are large, but the number of guests is low, making it very easy to get around. The "Hagi" guest room has a bedroom, but it's been renovated in a purely Japanese style, with the latest facilities and air conditioning from Tenri. It's a bit of a shame there's no sofa, but the semi-open-air bath in the guest room is filled with generous amounts of hot spring water. The water is great! The private bath is also spacious, so the whole family can soak in it. There's a good variety in the post-bath area, so you'll never run out of things to drink. The food was good, but I wish it was a little more delicious and in smaller portions. These days, even at luxury inns, it's common for staff to wear black suits, but for the first time in a long time, staff were dressed in kimono. The service was impeccable and the rooms were extremely clean. I rarely rate a 5-star hotel, but this is a hotel that comes close, at 4 stars, and one that I would like to return to if I have the opportunity. However, by chance, there was a family with a small child, and even though we had a private dining room, he cried from morning to night. If they could offer a little alcohol as an inclusive option and make it a luxury inn for adults, I think more wealthy people would visit.
