The toilet lacks ventilation, and the water heater runs slowly. The room has rather poor soundproofing.

My child and I stayed at Marhaba House in Chiang Mai for over a month; we stayed in room 201. Marhaba House has a great location, close to Chiang Mai Night Market, Warorot Market, and the currency exchange area. Tha Pae Gate is also a 10-minute walk away. It's very convenient, with several good food stalls within a 5-minute walk. Clothes can be sent to the nearby My Shop for laundry, and the owner will even help deliver them back to the hotel. Because we booked more than two months in advance, even during peak season, the daily rate was only around 600 baht. The room was spacious and had a balcony for drying clothes. It's a pretty good choice if you want to stay near Chiang Mai Night Market. The hotel doesn't have an elevator. Amenities include shampoo and soap, and hair dryers can be borrowed. The front desk isn't open 24 hours; it only closes around 4:30 pm. If you're checking in after 4:30 pm, it's recommended to contact the hotel in advance beforehand, as there are no staff on-site after 4:30 pm, and you'll have to call to contact them. There's a café in the lobby downstairs; guests can relax there after 4 pm. Khun Guan cleans the rooms meticulously every day; you can report any cleaning issues to her. The other two staff members are also friendly; you can contact them if you have any problems. The downside is that the bathroom sometimes has a slight odor, likely due to the old building's plumbing. The water heater tap needs to be turned down slightly for hotter water, and it's best not to use too many electrical appliances at the same time while showering.
