While clean, this hotel is not as advertised - it has gone downhill. Our room was dingy; the restaurant has a view of a corrugated iron fence! The bar and lounge are seedy. The garden is still well-kept and the staff were friendly. (Feb.2026)

Listen… look… I’m tellin’ ya right now. It’s that weird-ass time after Christmas. You’re bloated, you’re broke, and you’re confused. It’s New Year’s Eve, and I found myself in Kericho once again. Now, I told y'all before this town is gorgeous. It’s like God’s own personal botanical garden. It’s majestic! But I’m still out here exploring. I’m on a mission. I’m prowling through the mist as a Thirsty Elephant on a quest for the Holy Grail. And that’s when I saw it: Sahara Gardens. Now, let me paint the picture for you. It’s quiet. It’s peaceful. It’s…… L’ambiance. But.. You fellow Elephants didn’t click on this review to hear about the "ambiance." You don't care about the shrubbery or the feng shui of the patio chairs! YE-AH! You want to know if the select Golden Nectar of the Gods was served at a temperature that would make a polar bear shiver! They understood the assignment! I’m tellin’ ya, the waiter brought that bottle out and it had a frost on it so thick it looked like it just walked back from the Ice Age. I took one sip.. just one.. and I felt my chakras align so hard I think I saw 2027. It was so cold it didn't just refresh me; it baptized me for the year 2026. The pace was so perfect, the brew was so divinely refrigerated, that when the clock hit 00:00 and the fireworks started... I’m gonna be real with you... I forgot I had a better half to kiss. My lady is standing there, pouting her lips, lookin' at me like "Well?" And I’m just staring at this beer like, "Not now, honey, I’m havin’ a spiritual moment with this lager." I was in a committed relationship with that bottle. Sahara Gardens Kericho scores a perfect 10/10 on the Beermeter™. Fellow Elephants, stop wandering. This is your spot. If that beer was any colder, it would’ve started telling me my future.
